One of my motivations for going to university was to learn about something I had somewhat of an interest in…and sit exams which involve less rote learning and more understanding. How wrong could I have been?? These exams I am currently revising for are more rote learning than I ever did at A Level! Granted, my degree title is biochemistry, but pardon me if I am wrong, I thought understanding would be just as crucial as learning? The workload is impossible, I have revised about 60% of everything so far with 9 days to go til my first exam (three exams in three days, three hours each, eek, talk about impossible…impossibly scary) and it seems it will now be an uphill struggle to learn the rest as there are so many distractions out there…
I have already decided on sorting out my wardrobe this summer; I have far too many clothes as it is. I will make three piles: keep, charity/bin and store. The keep pile will be for stuff that I have worn and loved and still love now, and also stuff that I WILL wear (have to be harsh here, otherwise everything will end up on my keep pile). The store pile will be for things that are currently out of season (i.e. winter coats don’t really get much use in the summer unless you live in Antartica where there is no summer?) and finally, the charity pile/bin pile is pretty much what it says on the tin.
Aside from this, I have been unsuccessful in purchasing some blouses and it looks like I will be doing no spending until more Topshop vouchers come through from the various survey sites I am a member of.
Firstly, this is the first blouse I have acquired:

It is absolutely delightful. I floaty, sheer material of 100% silk and it is so so so soft. It is perfect for the summer with a camisole under, tucked into my tapered/cropped UO trousers from the previous post. Love love love, and the colour is versatile too which means it could be for work or even for a casual event worn with jeans. I recommend going a size down though if you were to purchase it too, it comes up a bit large and with the side tuck detailing, it doesn’t really look right with a waistbelt.

Secondly, also from Topshop, I have a (also silk) shirty/tunic thing. It will look good with leggings or jeans, or even tucked into a skirt or shorts. I love love love, with it’s draped armholes, it’s also perfect for the summer. However, due to my sheer laziness to print screen the page, I will instead, give you a direct link to the product here. It’s also sheer but is perfect worn with a waistbelt or something to give it shape as it is quite floaty.
Lastly, I seem to have acquired the perfect playsuit from the Topshop sale…

Sorry for the small picture, but again, I’m too lazy to print screen and I don’t have enough time to take a picture of it and upload it, blah blah blah. You can’t really see the print, but it isn’t as blue as it looks. The main colours are black, blue, green and peach. What is different to other Topshop playsuits is that it actually fits and is actually long enough for someone of my height!! Normally, Topshop playsuits give me a constant wedgie (even if I go a size up! and then, it just looks stupid with a overly baggy top half…) but this one is perfect. The length is perfect, it has no wedgie inducing powers… I love this and actually cannot wait for the weather to warm up just so I have an excuse to wear it.
So these are my summer purchases (the last ones unless I mount up enough survey vouchers to buy something else) and now, the last thing to check off on my wishlist are high waisted, camelish colour tapered trousers a la…

That colour. I love how she’s styled it up with a leather t-shirt. And that is how the trousers look on me; it gives me a waist and gives the illusion that I actually have curves (I don’t, at all) which I love. Oh, how I love fashion when things like these are in fashion!
